making our products the right way
Community Partnerships
We scoured the globe for highly skilled crafts people who were not only experts in the ancient skills of leather craft and saddle stitching, but also committed to ethical practices. On the island of Java, Indonesia, is the cultural hub of Yogyakarta, known for its traditional leather crafts. Here we found our master of craft and his expert team Johannes Harjawinata. Johanes sources our leather and brass locally from other local small businesses, before handcrafting our collars and leads in his studio. Johanes sets his own prices and everyone involved is paid fairly for their work so they can support their families, and in turn the local community can thrive.

Ethical Leather
From a well-worn belt that wouldn’t quite do up, to animal hides destined for the abattoir waste pile, our accessories are made from materials that already exist. While our journey began with turning old belts into collars, we needed to widen the net to ensure a consistent material supply. Leather, when sourced as a by-product of the meat industry, is by definition a recycled, circular material. But how the hides are processed matters. Avoiding the chemicals used in mainstream leather manufacturing, we only source naturally created vegetable tanned animal hides, which will biodegrade at the end of their life. Although this process is much more time consuming and expensive, it's a win for the evironment and for your dog’s health too.
only the best for your bestie
Quality and Comfort
As dog lovers, we know how important it is that your beloved pet has the best of everything. And that doesn’t just mean looking good – but being as comfortable and safe as possible in their collar. Full-swage saddlery buckles and keepers secure everything in place. Waxed and bevelled edges create a protective seal that is also soft on your dog’s neck. Multiple holes means you can ensure a great fit. Our collars and leads are expertly saddle-stitched by hand using a thick waxed thread. This durability, coupled with repairability, ensures they will stand the test of time. Handcrafted solid brass hardware completes the classic, elegant design, so your pup will always look stylish – even if doggy trends change.
doing our part
Low-Impact Creation
Environmental consciousness is entwined through all aspects of our operations. A great deal of thought has gone into the way our brand has been brought to life and what sustainability means to us. By creating a high quality heritage product, we are making something that will last - perhaps even for the life of your dog. By carefully choosing naturally sourced materials, otherwise destined for landfill, we are avoiding the environmental issues related to chemical leather manufacturing. From there, we ensure that the way we craft our leather into collars and leads, is as sustainable as possible. From water recycling during production, to offsetting our emissions, we strive every day to make our impact a positive one. Part of this means being committed to improving further as we continue our journey, so that we can leave the earth better off than it was. Watch this space.
